Labor Day Reunion

Like I mentioned we went to Austin, TX for Labor Day! We had a blast - we kept very BUSY! One of the first things we did with all of the family is go to the Oasis - one of Mommy's favorite restaurants, Famous for their sunsets...

Here is Daddy & I with a part of the sunset behind us.

I also went up to the top floor to the LIVE MUSIC & DANCING!!! It was already way past my bedtime, but I wish we would have come up there earlier. This was where the real party was!!! I met a friend there and we danced together some.... but to be honest, I kinda stole the show. I am so outgoing and such a ham and loved everyone smiling and laughing at me. The musician also dedicated a song to us babies ... "Daughters" by John Mayer... how sweet! :-)

We also went to go visit Grandpas store, Georgetown Farm Supply. I played with the live baby ducks and chicks... which I almost strangled on accident. I think I am a little young to play with those babes. But I hit the JACKPOT with the John Deere toys. I took it upon myself to "test" out ALL of these toys and to make sure they would be good gifts for kids for Christmas. They passed GREAT!

The BEST highlight from my trip is going to my FIRST AGGIE FOOTBALL GAME! GIG EM AGGIES.

I lasted for the first half and half time, but then Mommy and I left to eat some dinner and meet one of Mommy's old college friends, Marci. Congrats to her - as she is expecting her first child. I was obviously being silly in this picture and looking up at the fan.

The last night of the trip for me we celebrated all of the August & September birthdays on the Trainer side. I love cake! Yum!

AUGUST UPDATES

August just flew by! And now I am on my way to start school! I am saying more and more words and even singing songs. One of my favorite songs is this obnoxious rap song with a catchy chorus that goes "Low, Low, Low, Low, Low" - I love to say "Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah" right on beat to the song. I'll even sing it without you even knowing the song is ON, but I will hear just a little bit of it and I am singing my part!

Another new thing is "The Mommy Face!" So, Mommy used to open her mouth big for pictures just to be silly and now she has taught me how to do that too. All you have to say is "Do the Mommy Face" and I go.....

The big things in August was getting my first hair cut! It was so much fun! They styled my hair and even put glitter in it. Mommy & Daddy took me to Lollilocks for my first hair cut. Next time, Mommy said she would just cut it herself. YIKES!!!

Also in August Aunt Elizabeth came to visit Mommy and Me! This was so much fun. We went swimming, went to the park, and just played so much! I love all of my extended family so much.

We also took a family Labor Day trip to Austin for a reunion and some fun. I had a blast and have so many photos and videos from the trip to share! But for another post! :-)

Belleview Petting Zoo & The Denver Aquarium

Grandpa & Grandma Trainer were in town after going on their Alaskan cruise. Don't you just feel so sorry for them?? Just kidding, they deserve it. While they were in town, we did some fun stuff...

Belleview Petting Zoo
It's a $1. Needless I say anymore?? No really, I did love it. It wasn't magnificent, but absolutely worth my $1. They also had a train ride and the best part was the free park and river that I could not resist to get in. I do highly recommend this and hope to go back.

I am going to get these chickens.... I am so close!

Time to play in the river!!!

Here we are on the train above. Grandpa Trainer is always so serious.

Denver Aquarium
I didn't realize how much I LOVED fish until going to this place. So much "Wa-Ter" - as that is one of my FAVORITE WORDS to say. I will see a fountain in the distance and will tell you "Wa-ter" when you didn't even see it. I know water, I love my water, and i will say water 24/7 if I want! Here are some pictures from the Aquarium...

Another highlight from Grandma & Grandpa coming to town was this cool blue bag that I loved to play with. In fact, Mommy loved it so much that she carried me around in it. She thought this would be a good way to go shopping... some people carry their doggies in purses, but Mommy likes to carry ME! In BOTH pictures, I am in the bag hanging out and having a blast!

My 1 year old Photo Shoot!!!

Yay! We took photos for me turning 1! Since we really didn't do professional pictures throughout the whole year, we wanted to make sure and get some at this HUGE milestone! We had fun with Steve Tinetti again as always and got some great shots in our own backyard! :-) Enjoy!

Happy Bithday to me!!!

Today we celebrated my Birthday in Denver! Yay! Happy Birthday to me - I am one!

My big milestones the week before my birthday is crawling backwards down the stairs (no more trying to scoot forward and giving Mommy a heart attack). I am copying more and more words and can even hold up my finger when someone says "How old are you?" - And it's the #1 finger... not the bad finger silly people!

We had a Hawaiian Elmo theme - Hawaiian for the adults and for the start of summer... and Elmo for me since I love that Elmo song on Sesame Street. I especially LOVED all of the decorations Mommy put in the kitchen. I would look and go "Woaaahhhh" and point to Elmo all the time.

I LOVED all of my gifts too! BIG Thank you to all of my friends and family who were so generous to a 1 year old. I loved the pretty wrapping and really got into opening my gifts and taking them away from Mommy. I am such a BIG GIRL!

MARCH UPDATES

So, Mommy hasn't been keeping up with the blog too well... which she has to keep up with it for me to actually write something. Just because I can't talk clearly yet, doesn't mean that I have nothing to say...

So we are going to do monthly updates and backdate them... Sorry - it's not cheating in my book... Mommy is too anal to do posts out of order so we are manually putting them in order.

SO March!!! ALOT happened!

Obviously you saw me start saying a few words. But wouldn't you know that video below is a RARE occasion that Mommy got on tape. I am a babbler, but not quite making great words out like it seemed in that video...

But for March...

I actually DID start WALKING and that was the major feat to accomplish. I am an early walker - I started around right at 9 months - which was mid-March! It is amazing the progression of walking and then all of a sudden I am running. yikes! (And to be honest, this is part of the reason for the lack of blogging.... I am ALL over the place!)

Mommy and Daddy also hosted a House Warming Party finally since moving into our new house. Wonderful friends came over to visit and we cooked out for the day. Mommy put me in a ridiculous flower hat - of course everyone thought it was so cute!
I also started signing class this month for the first time. I am taking signing with Mommy at this Signing Smart program. It is a fantastic class! Very interactive with toys, songs, and learning about 10-15 signs per class.

Grandma & Grandpa Trainer also came up to visit me for EASTER! Easter was in march - which is pretty crazy. I got my first chance at stealing all the eggs.... or I mean finding them or hunting them?. We went with my neighbor Elaine and her little boy, Luke! I really enjoyed shaking the eggs and hearing all the goodies inside.

Click here for the full Ofoto picture from Grandma & Grandpa from their visit... includes - opening Easter basket from Aunt Geogia & Cousin Rebekah.... pictures from friends at our House Warming party...going to hunt for Eggs with neighbor Luke...my Easter dress... going on walk with Mommy & Daddy...and making Daddy hunt for Eggs in the house. :-)

"Bye Bye Daddy"

I like to mimic words and sounds I hear. I am learning so much. Watch me in the video - I wave, almost say "Bye Bye" and "Daddy". Us babies are smarter than people give us credit for.

New developments - clapping & bulldozing

This is the very first day that I clapped my hands..... Mommy has been working with me as we see other babies clap their hands. And now I can't stop clapping!
(This is a short video below...)

And I am SO strong and smart... don't turn your back on me!
I can escape almost any baby play yard... I normally can maneuver a gate to squeeze through in between the sofa, but today I learned that I can just push the gate and bulldoze it over...
(This is a short video below...)

I have also FINALLY learned how to hold the sippy cup!!! I love ice water!!!
